On June 26, President Barack Obama hosted a town hall meeting at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With hundreds of local politicians, community leaders and residents from around the state gathering at the 193-acre park to hear the President speak, organizers turned to Cummins to power the event.
Cummins NPower, which operates 12 branches throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, provided on-site service and support during the town hall through the use of a Cummins Power Generation 350 kW rental twin-pack generator set. The generator set, which is unique to Cummins, supplied power to the overall entertainment package, ensuring that attendees were able to hear the President and ask him questions during the town hall discussion.
The following day, President Obama delivered a second speech on economic policy at the Lake Harriet bandshell in Southwest Minneapolis. Once again, Cummins NPower provided full power for all lighting and sound equipment through the use of two Cummins 150 kW rental generator sets.
