June is National Safety Month, and Cummins is teaming up with fellow Campbell Institute members Dow Chemical, DuPont and BST to participate in the National Safety Council’s LIVE Twitter chat on Tuesday, June 17 at 1 p.m. ET. During the hour-long chat, health and safety leaders from Cummins will answer a variety of questions and offer tips on how to improve safety in the workplace, all in 140 characters or less!
Cummins has long been an advocate for health and safety at work. In 2013, Indiana Governor Mike Pence recognized the company’s efforts in this area by awarding it with a Governor’s Workplace Safety Award. The award provides recognition for companies based on best practices for eliminating workplace injuries and illnesses, and recognizes those organizations for which safety and health are a top priority.
If you’re active on Twitter and would like to join the conversation on the 17th, follow the National Safety Council @NSCSafety and Cummins @Cummins. The official hashtag for National Safety Month and the June 17 chat is #NSM14.
